Obama: I Cannot Tell A Lie. I Lied.

The mantra throughout the 2008 presidential campaign was change. All of the things that Barack Obama would do to change what's happening in Washington. Yet this new Obama-nation sees plenty of "more of the same" with no change at all.

Obama ran a campaign based on rhetoric against President Bush and accused opponent McCain of being a carbon copy. Yet the changes that he's attempting are disastrous for this country and he's not making all the changes he said he would.

For example:

  • Terrorist prisoners in Afghanistan will still be held without a trial. He's O.K. with that though he made it clear he wasn't.
  • Those tax cuts for the wealthy we heard over and over that he said he was going to yank? Yeah. They're staying for the full run.
  • The Bush administration's assertion that "state secrets" privilege to avoid releasing information? Obama and his staff has made it clear three times that it isn't going anywhere.

It appears that the Obama staff are glimpsing the harsh realities of governing a nation and what that means. He may have talked a good game during the election but it was a different story when the perspective of..oh...truth set in.
This stimulus bill will prove to be another, "Hmm. Maybe we shouldn't have done that" moment.

The Justice Department had to eat crow on their position to uphold telecommunications companies who can't be sued for helping the government in obtaining wiretaps in the interest of national security.

"The government is compelled to defend (the) statute as long as it can reasonably do so," spokesman Matthew Miller said in a statement.

He really didn't want to say that hence the clause at the end. Regardless, this is not what Obama supporters want to hear.

"There are some troubling signs that can't be ignored," Anthony Romero of the American Civil Liberties Union wrote recently.

During his campaign, Obama swore he wouldn't take public funds for his campaign...and then he did. That should have been a red flag to anyone paying attention.

The Bible is clear:

But let your speech be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: and whatsoever is more than these is of the evil one. (Matthew 5:37)

I don't expect Obama to follow that since he's not a Christian. Yes, I said that on purpose with full assurance that it's the right statement. Doesn't matter that he let the faith based initiative program continue (another hold over from the Bush administration) or that he went to Jeremiah Wright's church (who also is NOT a Christian). He may have the religious thing down pat, but he's not a Christian.

The bottom line is that he should have looked at things a little closer and said zero about which he knew nothing about to prevent him having egg on his face. Like now.

Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise; When he shutteth his lips, he is esteemed as prudent. (Proverbs 17:28)

Follow along folks as the walls slowly begin to crumble, the onset of truth settles in, and a landslide of inept bureaucratic moves shows itself in the plain light of day.

Obama's Love Affair With Abortion

I don't understand the obsession that Obama has with abortion. It appears as if he's on a mission to systematically increase the mass slaughter of the unborn and he's willing to force medical professionals across the country to do it.

Conscience? We Don't Need No Stinking Conscience
!

One of the last acts of the Bush administration was to pass a regulation that allowed doctors and health care professionals to refuse to perform abortions based on moral ramifications. A Health and Human Services (I just find that title ironic) announced that they will post their intentions and open a month long discussion on the issue from medical professionals around the nation as well as the public at large. That official did not want to be named because the notice had not been completed yet.

"It would be a horrible move. These regulations were a long time coming," said Tom McClusky, vice president at the
Family Research Council. "What they seek to do is protect patients, nurses, doctors and other health care professionals from being forced to violate their consciences."

As always, it was the wording in the bill that is the bone of contention. Supporters said that is clarified federal policies and increased awareness to medical professionals about what they were allowed to do in keeping with their conscience. Opponents said it was too vague and argue that it woul
d reduce access to health care services.

"I think it's a wonderful step," Rep. Diana DeGette (D-Colo.), co-chair of the Congressional Pro-Abortion...errr...Pro-Choice Caucus. She's introduced legislation to overturn the regulation.

"That rule was actually a poorly drafted last-minute attempt to, I think, restrict health care access and I think it would have had far-reaching and unintended consequences."

The White House released a statement saying Obama supports a "carefully crafted" conscience clause, not Bush's version.
In other words, make it more difficult for doctors, nurses, and others, to refuse to perform abortions.

The Change Hasn't Changed

In my post
Four Reasons To Have An Abortion, I laid out the facts as to why people have an abortion. None of them are reasons. All of them are excuses. More importantly, as a Christian (a real one), we should oppose this kind thing at every turn. The fact that this man supports such a heinous act and calls it "health care" should be a big red flag. The Bible is clear:
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (Isaiah 5:20)

Thus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, yea, for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they may enlarge their border. (Amos 1:13)
We have to stand against this, pray against this evil and be what God has called us to be: beacons of light in a land of darkness.

Get on the horn right now and start giving your representatives and senators a call. Email them and let them know that you oppose this.

Obama: "I Screwed Up."

No one is perfect. We all know that. Yet, from the way Obama was lauded as the answer to all of America's woes during the 2008 Presidential Election, you would have thought he could do no wrong. Well, reality has hit Obama...and it's not pretty.

The past couple days has seen two of Obama's nominations, Tom Daschle and Nancy Killifer, back out due to tax troubles. This just adds insult to injury as Bill Richardson also stepped aside from his nomination amid a grand jury investigation over state contracts.

As far as Obama being a good judge of character, this should come as no surprise. Remember, this is the same man who went to Jeremiah Wright's church for twenty years and defended him though he's a racist. The same man who had a relationship, however ephemeral, with Bill Ayers, an admitted terrorist.

This really isn't a glowing gift he has here.

"I screwed up," Obama said repeatedly when his nominees backed out. "I'm frustrated with myself, with our team."

Already he's had to backtrack and say he's going to bring in a "new era of responsibility". But...you've only been in office for two weeks and you have to change already? Of course he does. Remember, his whole mantra was change.

So far, Obama's vision and leadership is tore up from the floor up. Even senator Dick Durbin of Illinois admitted that "It really sets us back a step."

What we're seeing is a slate of things to come. The scary thing is that these people are running the United States of America.

Lord...have mercy.

"We'd Rather Kill Babies, Thank You!"

HERE WE GO!

I knew it wasn't going to be long before the leftist agenda started up in all of its ugliness.
In a move that many will excuse as they see the true face of Obama show, he has begun by lifting the ban on funding for overseas abortions staying true to his leftist agenda. I'm sure Planned Parenthood is quite happy.

I was pleasantly surprised to see in the roll call of senators voting for the prohibition that one of my senators, a senator who has been emotionally unstable the last few years, voted to uphold the prohibition. But with a final tally of 37 to 60, it was a sad day for the unborn.
Another important thing to note was the fact that four republican senators jumped ship and joined the democrats in lifting the ban. Those senators were Collins (ME), Snowe (ME), Specter (PA), and Murkowski (AK). Chambliss, whose seat was in the balance for quite some time, didn't even vote.

Also important to note was the one democrat who voted to uphold the ban which was Nelson from Nebraska.

This all is to set the stage for what's to come in the Freedom Of Choice Act (FOCA). This will kill any bills and laws passed by the states that ban such things as partial birth abortions or require parental notification of an abortion for a minor.
In response to this, pro life groups are gearing up to fight this. One of those such groups is the Life Issues Institute. They have a petition that they are asking others to sign. You can be a part of it by clicking here:

GET READY FOR THE RIDE

Yes. The ride to socialism has begun. We will join great countries like Russia and emulate great states like California in a system that will drive us further and further away from the free market, capitalism, and freedom in general.

The bible is clear:

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
(Hosea 4:6)

This country has forgotten its roots laid in the foundational principles found in that great and eternal book, the Holy Bible. We have traded science for faith, idols for God, and morality for relativity.

It is clear that the grassroots efforts in this country of citizens like me and you needs to rise up against the coming disaster of a godless, fiscally irresponsible, infanticidal, tyrannical government.

Prepare yourselves...and don't forget to hold on to your guns and religion. You'll need them.
